Do I need a referral for audiology and physical therapy
Most insurance plans require a referral for audiology services, and all insurance plans require a referral for physical therapy. If a referral is needed, your primary care physician or specialist can send it directly to our office. Our team is happy to help you confirm your insurance requirements before scheduling.
Can physical therapy help with balance or dizziness?
Yes. Physical therapy can be highly effective for balance problems, dizziness, vertigo, and concussion-related symptoms. Our physical therapists provide vestibular and balance therapy to help improve stability, reduce symptoms, and restore confidence with movement.
What is VNG testing and why is it used?
Videonystagmography (VNG) is a diagnostic test performed by an audiologist to evaluate dizziness and balance disorders. It measures eye movements to determine whether symptoms are related to the inner ear or the brain and helps guide appropriate treatment.
At what age should my child have a hearing evaluation?
Children can have hearing evaluations at any age, including infancy. Hearing testing is recommended if there are concerns about speech development, learning, attention, or recurrent ear infections. Early identification helps support communication and developmental milestones.
